How to Switch from Windows 7 to Linux Operating System

Windows 7 is one of the familiar OS that can be used for all the systems. Apart from this, other Windows like Windows 8 and Windows 10 are more complex than Windows 7. In case you don’t wish to upgrade your device to Windows 10, then there is another upgrade method to update your software. “Linux” must be a good option to upgrade your Operating System smoothly.  

How to Switch from Windows 7 to Linux Operating System

Linux provides various features to its users as it can be installed on any system even if you have not installed it earlier. It gives you another feature to download the OS alongside your already installed OS Windows 7.
Performance of Linux on Windows 7
Linux is an open-source OS that works smoothly and will co-operate with your hardware compatible without any issue. In case you wish to play demanding games on your system, then you can download an extra hardware driver that suits your device for a better gaming experience.
Generally, Linux comes with various compatible and top-rated web browsers, but if you don’t get your desired one after installing Linux on your system. Then you may install the same on your device. Linux also provides complete access to various streaming sites such as Hulu, Disney+, and Netflix.
In terms of privacy, Linux has built-in security features as you need not install any antivirus or any such programs on your device.
Booting back to Windows 7
Linux provides you the features to install the program under dual booting configuration setup. In this case, you need not uninstall your existing Windows 7 from your device as it can work comfortably alongside the existing one. 
Whenever you start your PC, you will be asked to select an Operating System. If you wish to work on Windows 7, then choose the appropriate option for the same. For Example, if the particular game is not running on Linux, then you may switch to Windows 7 by running a reboot back feature. To run any occasional task on Windows 7, reboot back to your preferred Window.
Downloading Linux on Your Device
In case you wish to download Linux on your device, then choose the installation-related option located inside the “Linux” section.
  • In case you want to download Linux by “Ubuntu” wizard on your device, then follow these steps:
  • Navigate to your desktop and tap the “Install Ubuntu” symbol and apply double click on it.
  • After that, a wizard will appear on your system for installation.
  • Then hit the “Install Linux” option. Then Linux will be installed on your device along-with your existing Window. You can even remove your Windows 7 by retaining Linux.
Note: You need additional storage for installing “Linux” on your device along-with existing Windows if you don’t have an additional hard drive. In case you desire more free space, then it is recommended to remove a few of the known used or unnecessary files from your device.
  • You have to select an Operating System from the given options every-time after restarting your device.
It is not recommended to remove the hard drive from your system as it might delete all your necessary data.
